It was our last day at Olema House.
We drove Sir Francis Drake Boulevard to Point Reyes Lighthouse, past Cypress Tree Tunnel, in time to watch the sunset.
Cold. Windy. Of grandiose scale.
Various types of seals and whales inhabit the seashore. We didn't get lucky. Along the way, though, cattle were quietly grazing, and numerous tule elk greeted us.
A few California quail birds surprised us scuttling across the road right in front of us, forcing a sudden brake.
At dusk, as we drove the windy roads back to San Francisco, we spotted skunk. Radiohead played in the background.
