I like to highlight passages of facts and curiosities in non-fiction books. From Matthew Walker's Why We Sleep I learned that "alcohol sedates you out of wakefulness, but it does not induce natural sleep." This means that your brain doesn't perform the restorative functions it should while you sleep with alcohol in your blood. Edward Snowden's Permanent Record reminded me that Dunbar's number, "the famous estimate of how many relationships you can meaningfully maintain in life, is just 150." It's challenging to keep up-to-date with more people.
