It's all about reducing friction

I'm browsing through scanned pages of my sketchbooks, carefully sorted and stored on Dropbox. I've seen these drawings dozens of times in search of illustrations.

For whenever I write a good story. I think when I spot sketches I particularly like.

Sometimes I write a story, then draw or search among existing drawings; others, stories are inspired by existing sketches.¹

Drawing daily and publishing weekly lets me keep six drawings per week for future publications. Scanning sketchbooks in advance makes editing and uploading my drawings a breeze.

It's all about reducing friction.
